The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between impulsivity, self-control and payday borrowing. A total of 68 respondents took part in the study, including 56 payday loan borrowers. The following instruments were used: Impulsivity Scale, UPPS (Whiteside & Lynam, 2001) and Brief self-control scale, BSCS (Tangney, Baumeister & Boone, 2004). The results show that there is no correlation between frequency of payday borrowing and impulsivity. There is a negative correlation between frequency of payday borrowing and self-control. In addition, it was concluded that there is a positive correlation between impulsivity and loan repayment problems and a negative correlation between self-control and loan repayment problems.
