Elastīgums pasaules uzskatos un tā saistība ar bailēm no nāves

Abstract

Darba mērķis bija izpētīt, vai elastīgums pasaules uzskatos ir saistīts ar bailēm no nāves. Teorētiskajā daļā tika meklēta izpratne par jēdzieniem ‘bailes no nāves’ un ‘pasaules uzskati’. Apskatīts šo jēdzienu skaidrojums no šausmu menedžmenta teorijas aspekta, fokusējoties uz elastīgumu pasaules uzskatos, eksistenciālajās pārliecībās. Tika formulēts pētījuma jautājums – vai elastīgums pasaules uzskatos, eksistenciālajās pārliecībās ir saistīts ar nāves bailēm. Pētījumā piedalījās 123 respondenti, no kuriem 105 sievietes vecumā no 16 līdz 57 gadiem. Tika izmantotas divas aptaujas: Eksistenciālās izziņas skala un Nāves baiļu aptauja. Konstatēts, ka saistība starp pētītajiem lielumiem nav statistiski nozīmīga.

The aim of this work was to explore whether flexibility in worldviews is related to death anxiety. In the theoretical part of the work was made an attempt to find an insight of the concepts ‘death anxiety’ and ‘worldviews’. These concepts were viewed from the terror management theory perspective, focusing on the flexibility in worldviews, existential beliefs. So there was the question of the study – is there a relevance between flexibility in worldviews, existential beliefs and death anxiety. Data were collected from 123 participants, of which 105 were women aged 16 to 57 years. Participants completed Existential Quest Scale and Death Anxiety Questionnaire. It was found that the relationship between the studied variables is not statistically significant.
