Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Dižkoku ģeogrāfija Ventspils novadā” mērķis bija apkopot visu publiski pieejamo informāciju par dižkokiem Ventspils novadā, ņemot vērā, ka šobrīd esošā informācija ir sadrumstalota un neprecīza. Pētījuma ietvaros ir apkopota informācija par 298 dižkokiem un potenciālajiem dižkokiem, atrasts un uzmērīts 21 jauns dižkoks un 3 potenciālie dižkoki - Ventspils novadā. Ir izveidots kartogrāfiskais materiāls par dižkoku izplatību Ventspils novada pagastos. Pētījumā sniegta diskusija par dižkoku izplatības īpatnībām Ventspils novadā un dižkoku apzināšanas problēmām.

The aim of Bachelor’s thesis “Secular trees geography in Ventspils district” was to gather all the information available to the public sources about secular trees in Ventspils district, considering that the available information is not very detailed and accurate. This research paper gathers information about 298 secular and potential secular trees of which 21 of secular trees and 3 potential secular trees have been found and measured in Ventspils district by the author. Cartographic material has been made to analyse the spreading of secular trees in Ventspils municipalities. The research offers a discussion about secular tree distribution peculiarities in Ventspils district and awareness of the problems about secular tree exploration.
