Bakalaura darba temats ir “Motivācija piedalīties tiešsaistē spēlē Eve Online”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot spēlētāju motivāciju piedalīties tiešsaistes spēlē Eve Online. Darbā ir piecas nodaļas. Pirmajā daļā ir apskatīta Eve Online spēle. Otrajā daļā ir apskatīts ludoloģijas un naratoloģijas nodalījums, sintētiskās pasaules un maģiskā apļa teorijas, datorspēlētāju motivācijas tipoloģijas. Trešajā daļā tiek apskatīti pētījumi par datorspēlētāju motivāciju un ar Eve Online saistītie pētījumi. Ceturtajā daļā ir empīriskā darba metodoloģijas apraksts. Piektajā – empīriskā datu analīze. Darbā tiek secināts, ka spēlētājus piedalīties tiešsaistē Eve Online motivē spēles sniegtās iespējas, kas ļauj socializēties, attīstīt iekšspēles meistarību un radoši izpausties. The topic of term paper is “Motivation to participate in MMO Eve Online”. The paper is aimed to find out the motivation of gamers to participate in Eve Online. The paper consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, Eve Online is described. In the second chapter theories about divide of ludology and narratology, synthetic worlds, magic circle and gamer motivation typology are examined. In the third chapter there is examination of researches about gamers. The fourth chapter describes methodological approach. Fifth chapter features the results of empirical study. It is concluded that video-game players are motivated to participate in Eve Online by videogame’s potential that allows socializing, developing in-game mastery and expressing oneself creatively.
