Augstskolu bibliotēku tīmekļa vietne kā e-resursu piekļuves punkts

Abstract

Veiksmīga bibliotēkas tīmekļa vietnes funkcionalitāte ir tās panākumu stūrakmens, tāpēc maģistra darbā tiek aplūkotas trīs lielākās Latvijas augstskolu – Latvijas Universitātes, Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes un Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes bibliotēku tīmekļa vietnes, to atbilstība izplatītākajām lietotājdraudzīgas tīmekļa vietnes vadlīnijām un standartiem. Pētot Latvijas augstskolu bibliotēku tīmekļa vietnes, apkopoti un salīdzināti galvenie kvalitātes kritēriji, atklāta tīmekļa vietņu atbilstība šiem kritērijiem, kā arī noskaidrots studentu viedoklis par tīmekļa vietņu lietojamību, attiecībā uz e-resursu pieejamību. Noslēgumā identificētas galvenās tīmekļa vietņu satura, noformējuma un lietojamības problēmas, kā arī atklāti galvenie priekšnosacījumi veiksmīgai tīmekļa vietņu izstrādei un uzlabošanai.

A qualitative and user-friendly library web site is the keystone for its success, therefore in this Master’s Thesis library web pages of the three biggest Latvian universities – University of Latvia, Riga Technical University and Riga Stradins University are viewed to analyse how they meet user-friendly website requirements and standards. By exploring the library web sites of universities in Latvia, the author has collected and compared the most widespread quality criteria and discovered the web site compliance with these criteria as well as found out student’s opinions about the web page usability regarding the access of e-resources. In the conclusion the main library web site content, design and usability problems were identified as well as preconditions for successful web site creation and redesign were determined.
