Pētījumā piedalījās 109 studējoši respondenti vecumā no 19 līdz 42 gadiem (M = 25,5; SD = 5,43). The aim of this study was to determine how emotional intelligence and locus of control can predict procrastination and determine relationship between procrastination, emotional intelligence and locus of control. The sample consisted of 109 people aged from 19 to 42 years (M = 25,5; SD = 5,43). Three questionnaires were used in the study: Procrastination Scale (Lay,1986), The Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test, STREIT, Schutte et al., 1998, as referred in to Shutte, Malouff & Bhullar, 2009) and, Locus of control scale (Rotter, J.B., 1966). Results show that procrastination negatively correlates with the locus of control, as well as a statistically significant negative relationship between procrastination and one of the emotional intelligence subscales "managing self-relevant emotion". A statistically significant relationship between locus of control and emotional intelligence, as well as the locus of control and emotional intelligence subscales: "emotional perception"; "managing self-relevant emotion"; "social skills" was discovered. Results show that procrastination increase is statistically significantly predict the respondent's age increase, as well as the decrease in the average grade, locus of control and emotional intelligence scale "managing self-relevant emotion".
