There are many injuries caused by traffic accidents. This is making advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) a very popular field of research especially pedestrian detection as one of its subsections. Regardless the necessity there are still a lot of unresolved problems and room for improvement in both precission and speed. The main goal is to describe ADAS, find the best currently available solutions for pedestrian detection and create a solution which combines stereo camera data with thermal images. In this paper “ADAS pedestrian detection combining point cloud with thermal images” ADAS, the development of pedestrian detection and its best solutions are described. Also, the author developed the proposed method. As a result an algorithm was made that combines point cloud data with thermal images.
