Mūsdienu gultnes procesi Gaujas posmā Valmiera-Strenči

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā ‘’Mūsdienu gultnes procesi Gaujā posmā Valmiera – Strenči’’ ir analizēti šajā upes posmā notiekošie gultnes procesi – it īpaši meandrēšana. Šo procesu izpēte un izpratne ir svarīga, jo šie procesi Latvijā nav pētīti pēdējo gadu laikā un mūsdienās pieejamās tehnoloģijas šādus pētījumus padara vieglākus un samazina nepieciešamību pēc ilgtermiņa stacionārajiem pētījumiem. Bakalaura darba projekta mērķis ir izpētīt mūsdienu upju gultnes procesus, kas novērojami Gaujā posmā starp Strenčiem un Valmieru. Lai šo mērķi sasniegtu darba autors ir analizējis informāciju par gultņu procesiem kopumā un it īpaši Gaujā. Pētāmā teritorija ir Gaujas upes posms starp Strenču un Valmieras pilsētām. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka Gujā notiekošos procesus ietekmē ļoti daudzi faktori. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no pētāmās teritorijas fizioģeogrāfiskā un ģeoloģiskā apskata, literatūras apskata par mūsdienu gultnes procesiem, iepriekšējo pētījumu apskata, materiālu un metožu apraksta, pētījuma rezultātu apkopojuma un pielikumiem.

Bachelors work ‘’ Present-day channel processes in the River Gauja section Valmiera-Strenči’’ looks at channel processes, that are happening in this section, especially meandering. Understanding of these processes is important because coasts are actively used by humans and these processes in Latvia recently have not been studied and modern technologies give the ability to do studies easier and without use of long lasting stationary studies. The aim of Bachelor paper is to explore present-day channel processes in river Gauja section between Strenči and Valmiera. To achieve this aim the author has analysed information about channel processes and data and information about channel proceses that are happening in river Gauja. The study area is river section of river Gauja betveen towns of Strenči and Valmiera. Results show that processes in river Gauja are influenced by many factors. The work consists of physiogeographic and geologic description of study area, literature review of present-day channel processes, review of earlier studies, the study of materials and description of the methods, the summary of results and appendix.
