Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Baltijas jūras piekrasti piesārņojošie atkritumi un sabiedrības apziņas loma to mazināšanā” izstrādāts ar mērķi noskaidrot, cik liela nozīme piekrastes atkritumu radīšanā ir pludmales apmeklētāju vides apziņai un cik lielā mērā tā spēj panākt piesārņojuma līmeņa samazināšanos. Lai to noskaidrotu, ir pētīta pludmales apmeklētāju uztvere, informētība, attieksme un rīcība. Balstoties uz dokumentu analīzi un empīrisko pētījumu, izmantojot anketēšanas un interviju metodes, ir noteikts Latvijas pludmales apmeklētāju vides apziņas līmenis un apzināta viņu rīcība esošā informācija, izvērtēti komunikācijas līdzekļi, kas ietekmē vides apziņu veidojošos elementus, kā arī identificēti iespējamie komunikācijas draudi vides apziņas līmeņa celšanai.

The aim of the Master Thesis „The role of awareness of society in mitigation of beach pollution by marine litter in the Baltic sea” is to estimate the role of environmental awareness in beach littering and measure the impact of communication on beach visitors emotional perception, cognition, attitude and behaviour. Based on document analysis and empirical studies using survey and deep interview methods, the level of environmental awareness and cognition of beach visitors has been measured, identifying the communication tools that affect the elements of environmental consciousness and also recognizing possible communication treats that could limit the effectiveness of raising awareness activities.
