People are surrounded by digital technology that has generated new developments in almost every possible area, including reading and storytelling. Nowadays the model of how a literary work is transformed and provided and how people read it is generally dependent on technological innovations and devices which constantly are invented and improved. It can be considered that people also need to get accustomed to the new way of storytelling of digital fiction where different manner of reading can appear rather it is while reading printed fictions. The comparison of digital and printed fiction of the novel “10:01” (2005) by Lance Olsen and Tim Guthrie and analysis of works “Flight Paths” (2007–) by Kate Pullinger, Chris Joseph and participants, and “Loss of Grasp” (2010) by Serge Bouchardon and Vincent Volckaert have led to relevant conclusions. The manner of effective perception of the text is reader-dependent; some may feel distracted and thus message and idea can be lost, while others may found immensely important to make the story become alive and more understandable seeing and hearing important elements. The most important aspects, while reading the text, are to concentrate on the characters’ feelings, thoughts, emotions, the main idea and composition rather than on the chronological order of the narrative. Key words: digital fiction, digital text, printed text, reading digital fiction, digital fiction storytelling.
