Ņemot vērā, ka informācijas lietošanas process kļūst arvien aktuālāgs akadēmiskā un politiskā kotenstā, es piedāvāju analizēt šo jautājumu kontekstuāli, balstoties uz Burdjē (Bourdieu) habitus konceptu. Lietojot auto-etnogrāfiju, līdzdalīgo novērojumu, daļēji strukturētās intervijas un eksperimentālu vizuālo metodi, es parādu, ka habitus un tehnoloģijas ir labs sākumpunkts šāda veida pētījumiem, atklājot veidus, kā indivīdi izprot informācijas konceptu, konstruē mediju telpu ap sevi; spēj lietot informāciju stratēģiski, bet tajā pašā laikā rīkojas arī pus-automātiski un neapzināti. Taču kopējās sociālās ekspektācijas un nomācoši lielas informācijas apjoms noved indivīdus pie speciālām izvairīšanās stratēģijām, ko es saskatu kā habitus izmaiņu laikā. As the information becomes more topical issue on academic and political levels, I offer to analyze the process of obtaining information within the contextual aspects, based on Bourdieu’s concept of habitus. By using auto-ethnography, participant observation, semi-structured interviews and experimental visual method, I show that habitus and technology as the entry point for this issue is a truly useful perspective to reveal the way individuals understand the concept of information, construct the media space around themselves, use the media strategically but also semi-conscious and automatic at the same time. Yet, the social expectations and overwhelming amount of information leads to avoidance strategies that I recognize as the flux of habitus.
