Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma - Māsas izglītotājas profesionālās darbības cukura diabēta pacientu aprūpē sociālās aprūpes centrā. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt māsas izglītotājas profesionālās darbības cukura diabēta pacientu aprūpē sociālās aprūpes centrā. Pētniecības jautājums: Kādas profesionālās darbības veic māsas izglītotājas cukura diabēta pacientu aprūpē sociālās aprūpes centrā? Pēc iespējas pilnīgāku datu ieguvei tika izvēlēta kvalitatīvā metode un izstrādāti jautājumi interviju veikšanai. Rezultāti tika apkopoti ar kontentanalīzi. Pētījumā piedalījās vienā no Latvijas Sociālās aprūpes centriem strādājošas sešas medicīnas māsas, kuru aprūpē šajā centrā atrodas vairāk nekā divdesmit II tipa cukura diabēta pacientu. Galvenie secinājumi: Tieši ar māsas darbībām pacientam tiek rādīts, kāda ir pareiza rīcība. Visas darbības, kuras klients var paveikt pats, tiek atļautas darīt pašam. Māsa iemāca pacientam darbības, pielietojot atgādināšanu, pamudināšanu, palīdzēšanu un atbalstīšanu. Māsas izvēlas izglītošanas metodes, veidus un tēmas, izvērtējot konkrētā pacienta veselības stāvokli, izglītošanas nepieciešamību, savas iespējas. Par traucējošiem apstākļiem izglītošanas procesā māsas min pacientu zemo līdzestību, kas ir viņu pamatsaslimšanu izpausmju sekas, tuvinieku un apkārtējo nepārdomātu rīcību un atbalsta trūkumu, zināšanu par CD trūkuma dēļ, kā arī māsu lielā noslogotību un laika trūkumu, no tā nākas secināt, ka izglītošanas procesā vairāk jāiesaista tuvinieki, apkārtējie un visa sabiedrība.

The theme of Bachelor thesis – Nurse educator’s professional activity taking care of diabetic patients in the social care center. The aim is to investigate the nurse educator’s professional activity taking care of diabetic patients in the social care center. Research question: What are the tasks and professional activities that nurse educator does taking care of diabetes patient in a social care center? For the purpose of gathering as complete as possible data author has chosen a qualitative method and developed questions for interviews. The results were summarized in a content analysis. The study involved six nurses working in one of the Latvian Social care centers. There are more than twenty Type II diabetes patients taken care by these nurses. Main conclusions: It is nurses and their actions showing and teaching patients the right thing to do. All operations, that customers can do themselves are allowed to be done by themselves. Nurse teaches patient by reminding, encouraging, aiding and supporting. Nurses choose teaching methods, forms and themes, examining the individual patient's health status, educational needs, their potential as well as their own abilities. As main obstacles in the educational process nurses mention patients’ low adherence which is consequence to the underlying disease manifestations. Patients are experiencing lack of support from they’re relatives and the ill-considered actions by surrounding people, because knowledge of the Sugar diabetes is not sufficient. Also lack of time and large workload for nurses. These conditions leads us to conclude that educational process needs to have more involvement from relatives, bystanders and society.
