Arhīva virtuālo izstāžu izmantojamības novērtējums

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas Nacionālā arhīva veidoto izstāžu izmantojamību. Bakalaura darba pētījumā pielietotās metodes: intervēšana un verbālā protokola metode. Pētījuma rezultātā izvirzītā hipotēze ir apstiprinājusies - Latvijas Nacionālā arhīva veidotās virtuālās izstādes ir kvalitatīvs un interaktīvs veids, kā tuvāk iepazīstināt un ieinteresēt lietotājus. Pētījuma rezultātā tika noskaidrots, ka arhīvs aktīvi popularizē un ar dažādiem veidiem cenšas piesaistīt jaunus lasītājus un interesentus savam krājumam, un izstādes ir viens no šiem veidiem. No izstāžu virtuālo apmeklētāju puses, kā arī lietojamības testēšanas rezultātā parādījās pavisam cita problēma – jaunākās paaudzes nevēlēšanās iedziļināties informācijā, nepacietība saistībā ar informācijas meklēšanas soļiem, kas tad arī varētu būt šķērslis virtuālo izstāžu pilnīgākai izmantojamībai.

Objective of this study is to investigate usability of Latvian National archive virtual exhibition usability. Methods used in this research: interviewing and verbal protocol method. The research have revealed that the hypothesis is confirmed – Latvian National archive virtual exhibitions are qualitative and interactive way how to closer introduce users with their collection. The research have also revealed that archive is actively promoting with various ways their stock collection, using virtual exhibitions as one of these ways. Looking from the perspective of virtual exhibition visitors and also in the process of user testing methods another problem occurred – younger generation does not want to read the produced information or aquire deeper understanding about it, they also are very impatient in the process of information seeking. However, this is a serious obstacle in the virtual exhibition usability.
