Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāds bija Latgales identitātes diskurss laikrakstā “Latgolas Vōrds” Kārļa Ulmaņa autoritārā režīma laikā no 1935. gada līdz 1940. gadam. Savukārt Latgales identitātes diskursu K. Ulmaņa autoritārā režīma laikā laikrakstā „Latgolas Vōrds” no 1935. gada līdz 1940. gadam veido K. Ulmaņa, Latgales attīstības, Latgales atpalicības, Latgales vēstures, katoļu ticības, lauksaimniecības, Latvijas novadu vienības apakšdiskursi. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the identity discourse of Latgale in newspaper “Latgolas Vōrds” under the authoritarian regime of Kārlis Ulmanis from 1935 to 1940. The theoretical base consists of the following sections: theoretical understanding of identity, national and regional identity, imagined community, ideology and representation. The discourse-historical analysis and quantitative content analysis of the discourse shows that the represented regional identity of Latgale is part of national identity, and is based on differences of the particular region. The key factors for identity discourse of Latgale are economic situation, different religion, specific dialect and character of inhabitants. The identity discourse of Latgale under the authoritarian regime of Kārlis Ulmanis from 1935 to 1940 evolves from sub-discourse of K. Ulmanis, development of Latgale, baldness of Latgale, history, Catholicism, agronomy and unity of the region.
