Postapokalipses un distopijas atainojums Džordža Millera filmā "Mad Max. Fury road"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiks pētīts austrāļu režisora Džordža Millera filmas “Mad Max. Fury road” postapokaliptiskās un distopiskās vides atainojums un paņēmieni, ar kuriem vide izveidota filmas ietvaros. Teorētiskajā daļā tiks sīkāk apskatītas tēmas un žanri, kā arī semiotiskie un naratīva elementi, kas ietver informāciju, aprakstot autora izvēlētos paņēmienus kā atainot postapokaliptisku un distopisku vidi. Metodoloģijas daļā tiks pamatotas izvēlētās metodes pētījuma izveidei– naratīva un semiotiskā analīze. Pēc metodoloģijas apraksta seko empīriskā daļa, kurā tiks izanalizēta augstākminētā kinofilma. Lai sīkāk pētītu “Mad Max. Fury road”, tiks aprakstīta arī “Mad Max” franšīze kopumā, kurā ietilpst četras kino filmas. Pamatojoties uz empīrisko materiālu bāzes, autore izveido gala rezumējumu par Džordža Millera kino stilistiku un paņēmieniem, kā radīt atiecīgo vidi filmā “Mad Max. Fury road”.

This bachelor thesis will analyze the postapocalyptic and dystopian visualization and ideology in George Millers last movie, the fourth eddition to the “Mad Max” franchise – “Mad Max. Fury road”. To analyze “Mad Max. Fury road”, the newest film made by the director, it will be compared to other three films in the franchise. The theoretical part of this paper examines in detail the way the author depicts the dystopic and postapocalyptic, by the use of semiotic and narrative approach. The Methodology part will explain the use of narrative and semiotic analysis for the development of the research. Next follows the empirical part which will analyze “Mad Max. Fury road” and, based on the conclusions made, the author of this paper will discover the methods George Miller has used to achieve the visual style and storytelling regarding postapocalyptic and dystopian style of the film.
