Inovāciju snieguma salīdzinājums Igaunijā un Latvijā: ko Igaunija dara labāk?

Abstract

Zinātne, tehnoloģijas un inovācijas ir pamatā ekonomiskai izaugsmei, kas ir vērsta uz jaunu produktu radīšanu ar augstu pievienoto vērtību. Šī maģistra darba kontekstā autore ir veikusi Igaunijas un Latvijas inovāciju snieguma aspektu faktoru analīzi. Šī darba mērķis ir noteikt un analizēt iemeslus, kādēļ Igaunijai inovāciju sniegums ir augstāks nekā Latvijā. Galvenais autores izvirzītais izpētes jautājums ir: Kāpēc Igaunija apsteidz Latviju inovāciju sniegumā? Autore padziļināti pēta specifiskus faktorus inovāciju jomā: 1) sadarbība starp zinātni un nozarēm Igaunijā un Latvijā; 2) cilvēkresursi pētniecībā un attīstībā. Autore vēlas identificēt galvenās atšķirības starp nacionālajām inovāciju sistēmām Igaunijā un Latvijā, kā arī sniegt priekšlikumus Latvijas inovāciju snieguma uzlabošanai, balstoties uz Igaunijas pieredzi.

Science, technology and innovation are the basis for economic growth that focus on creating new products with added value. In the context of the following Thesis author has carried out factor analysis of innovation performance aspects in Estonia and Latvia. The objective of the following Thesis is – to determine and analyze the reasons why Estonia has better innovation performance than Latvia. The key research question that author addresses is: Why does Estonia outrun Latvia in innovation performance? Author investigates two specific factors within the field of innovation: 1) the collaboration between science and industry in Estonia and Latvia; 2) human resources in R&D. Author aims to identify the key differences between national innovation systems of Estonia and Latvia and proposes recommendations for the improvement of Latvia’s innovation performance, based on Estonia’s experience.
