Bibliotekāra tēls Latvijas Nacionālajā bibliotēkā

Abstract

Bibliotekāra tēlu veido sabiedrības skatījums uz to. Latvijas Nacionālā bibliotēka pastāv jau kopš 1919. gada, un šo pastāvēšanas gadu gaitā sabiedrība ir izveidojusi savu priekšstatu par bibliotēku un tās darbiniekiem. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt jauno bibliotēkas telpu iespaidu uz bibliotekāra tēlu. Darba pamatā izmantota sociālā konstrukcionisma un sociālās identitātes teorijas. Pētnieciskajā daļā kā datu ieguves metodes ir izmantota jaukta tipa pētījuma stratēģija - intervēšana un anketēšana. Pēc pētnieciskā darba veikšanas radušies secinājumi, ka bibliotēkas telpu maiņa būtiski ietekmē bibliotekāru ārējo izskatu, darba pienākumus, kā arī sajūta, strādājot jaunās, tīrās telpās, ir vairojusi bibliotekāru pozitīvās īpašības.

The view on librarian image is formed by the public’s opinion. The National Library of Latvia has been existing since 1919 and over the years the public has built its idea and view of the library and its staff. The aim of this study is to explore the new library facility effect on the image of a librarian. This paper is built on the social constructionism and social identity theory. For the research part of the paper, as means of gathering data, a mixed research strategy is used, including - interviewing and surveys. According to the carried out research the conclusion is that the change of library premises substantially affect the external appearance of librarians, job responsibilities, as well as the feeling of working in a new, clean facility, as well as it has increased the positive qualities of librarians.
