Abstract

Pasaulē pastāv vairāki soda brīvības atņemšanas veidi, kuri tiek piemēroti personām par noziedzīgu nodarījumu izdarīšanu. Latvijā bargākais soda veids ir mūža ieslodzījums, kas tiek piešķirts par ļoti smagiem pārkāpumiem. Galvenā problēma ir soda mērķa sasniegšanas iespējamība, pielietojot brīvības atņemšanu beztermiņā jeb mūža ieslodzījumu . Darba galvenais mēķis ir atrast citas iespēas, ja soda mērķis nav sasniedzams , lai samazinātu draudus sabiedrībai. Izanalizēt vai soda mērķis praksē un teorijā tiek pielietots un izprasts vienādi. Darba mērķis ir izsprast mūža ieslodzījuma institūta nepieciešamību un tā lietderību Latvijā salīdzinot ar ārvalstīm. Kā arī noskaidrot citas iespējas notiesātajiem tik atbrīvotiem pirmstermiņā. Lai arī bargais soda veids saglabā pašu svarīgāko un pozītīvāko aspektu, pielietojot mūža ieslodzījumu kā soda veidu - notiesātās personas dzīvību. Kā arī dot iespēju personai izmainīt savu domāšanu par izdarīto noziegumu un sniegt atkārtotu iespēju atgriesties sabiedrībā.

In the world there are several types of penalties of deprivation of liberty, which are suitable for persons of criminal offense. Labor chief purpose is to find another option if a penalty goal can not bet achieved in order to reduce the threat to the public. And to analyze whether a penalty goal in practice and theory is used and understood in the same way. The objective is to understand the need and usefulness of life imprisonment institute in Latvia and compare it with foreign countries. Also find out other options for convicts getting releasesd premature. Although the severe form of punishment keeps the most important and positive aspect of the use of life imprisonment as a form of punishment - the convicted person's life. As well as to enable a person to change their thinking about the crimes committed and to provide repeated opportunity to return in society.
