Pētījumā piedalījušies 50 respondentu vecumā no 19 – 40 gadu vecumam. The topic of the Bachelor’s thesis is Interconnection between Procrastination and Student’s Motivation for Learning. The thesis analyses theory of motivation, motivation for learning and procrastination. The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis is to study and analyse the interconnection of motivation for learning and procrastination. The research involved participation of 50 respondents, aged between 19 and 40. Two methods were used to complete the research of Bachelor’s thesis: 1.Procrastination Scale (Lay,1986), in Latvia the scale was adopted by R. Bulina, 2011. 2.Academic Motivation Scale (ams-28) College (CEGEP) Version (Robert J. Vallerand, Luc G. Pelletier, Marc R. Blais, Nathalie M. Brière, Caroline B. Senécal, Évelyne F. Vallières, 1992-1993). In Latvia the method was adopted by Rihards Rauska within the research of his Bachelor’s theses (2016). The questionnaire was distributed on the Internet site Facebook and the respondents completed it voluntarily. Correlation analysis was carried out to compare the findings. The analysis indicated interconnection between motivation and procrastination. Students’ lack of motivation was related to higher indices of procrastination. One component in subscale of motivation for learning, i.e. motivation for achievements, created a weak, but noteworthy connection between motivation for achievements and procrastination; the observed correlation was negative.
