Sociālās mācīšanās un mēdiju platforma Edmodo skolēnu argumentēšanas prasmju attīstībai debatēm

Abstract

Projekta debašu līderu skola ietvaros, darba autore izveidoja debašu klubu Garkalnes Mākslu un vispārizglītojošajā vidusskolā. Pēc pirmajām tikšanās reizēm ar 7-9 klases skolēniem, darba autore konstatēja, ka viņiem trūkst argumentēšanas prasmes. Tika nolemts izmantot Edmodo platformu, lai palīdzētu skolēniem veicināt šīs prasmes. Pētījuma metode bija gadījuma pētījums Garkalnes Mākslu un vispārizglītojošajā vidusskolā no novembra 2016 līdz aprīlim 2017 un tajā piedalījās 8 skolēni. Pētījuma laikā tika analizētas pētījuma piezīmes, skolēniem tika plānotas un izsniegtas sešas anketas, veiktas divas intervijas un analizēti trīs debašu ieraksti. Balstoties uz pētījuma rezultātiem var secināt, ka Edmodo var efektīvi lietot skolēnu argumentēšanas prasmju attīstībai. Atslēgas vārdi: Debates, argumentācijas prasmes, Edmodo.

The author of the Diploma Paper participated in a project Debate Leader School after which she established a debate club in Garkalne Art and Comprehensive Secondary School. After the first debate club meetings with the 7th-9th Grade students the author noticed that they lacked argumentation skills. To address the issue, it was decided to introduce Edmodo as a tool to help to develop students’ argumentation skills. The research method was a case study with 8 students at Garkalne Art and Comprehensive Secondary School from November 2016 till April 2017. During the case study the analysis of field notes was completed, six questionnaires for students were planned and carried out, two interviews were conducted and finally three debate sessions were recorded. Based on the results of the case study it can be concluded that Edmodo could be effectively used to help to develop students’ argumentation skills for debating.
