Devona Arukilas svītas nogulumu uzbūve un sastāvs Ziemeļkurzemē

Abstract

Šī pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot Arukilas svītas nogulumu veidošanos ietekmējušos procesus un apstākļus, kā arī to izmaiņas laika gaitā, pamatojoties uz detalizētiem pētījumiem un atsegumu dokumentāciju Kaļķupītes krastos, izmantojot lauka un laboratorijas pētījumu metodes. Pētījuma ietvaros sastādīti 6 detalizēti ģeoloģiskie griezumi, nodalītas 14 fācijas un 3 fāciju secības. Piesaistot griezumus datubāzē pieejamajiem urbumu datiem, noskaidrots, ka pie Kaļķupītes pētītie nogulumi atbilst Arukilas svītas augšējai daļai, bet Grāvdangu atsegumā pētītie – šīs svītas vidusdaļai. Salīdzinot bakalaura darbā iegūtos datus ar literatūras datiem, secināts, ka Arukilas svītas nogulumi veidojušies deltu kanālos un līdzenumā ar būtisku, lielākoties dominējošu paisuma un bēguma procesu ietekmi.

The aim of this study was to establish sedimentary environments and processes, as well as characterize their changes in time during accumulation of deposits of the Aruküla Formation, based on the detailed studies and documentation of outcrops in banks of the Kaļķupīte River, by use of the field and laboratory methods. Six geological sections were logged, 14 facies and 3 facies sequences identified. Studied outcrops were correlated to borehole sections from a database and in result it was established, that the deposits studied at the Kaļķupīte River correspond to the upper part, but those in the outcrop Grāvdangas to the middle part of the Arükula Formation. Comparison of data of this study to the literature data allows to conclude that the deposits of the Arükula Formation were formed in delta channels and delta plain with significant, mostly dominant influence of tides.
