Šis maģistra darbs ir veltīts angļu filmu nosaukumu tulkošanas stratēģiju pētījumam. Pirmkārt, darbā ir izpētīta dažadu tulkošanas stratēģiju lietošana angļu filmu nosaukumu tulkošanā latviešu un krievu valodā. Pēc tam, darbā ir analizēta saistība starp nosaukumu veidiem un tulkošanas stratēģijām. Rezultāti ļauj secināt, ka literālā tulkošana ir viena no visbiežāk lietotiem filmu nosaukumu tulkošanas stratēģijām, un stratēģijas, kuras ir izmantotas nosaukumu tulkošanai, var ietekmēt nosaukumu veidu. This master’s thesis is devoted to the study of English film title translation strategies. Firstly, this work examines the use of various translation strategies in English film title translation into Latvian and Russian. Then, it studies the relationships between the type of a title and a translation strategy. The results lead to the conclusion that literal translation is one of the most frequently used strategies of film title translation, and the strategies used for title translations may influence the type of a title.
