The aim of the Bachelor’s Paper is to collect the updated information on the sense of gratitude and the sense happiness, and the connection between these constructs, as well as to execute an experimental research to find out, if significant statistical changes of the level indicators of the sense of happiness and the sense of gratitude among the respondents of the experimental group and the control group can be observed after participation in the research for 5 weeks. In general, 145 respondents participated in the research (the experimental group n = 73, the control group n = 72) from 19 to 50 years of age. The participants of the experimental group were writing the gratitude diary in particular form for the period of 4 weeks and provided 5 gratitude cases weekly, while the participants of the control group shared 5 everyday situations weekly in a free form. The participants of both groups had the measurements of the sense of gratitude and the sense of the subjective happiness in the beginning and the closing part of the research. The used instruments were the Gratitude, Resentment and Appreciation Test Short Form and the Subjective Happiness Scale. The results of the research showed significant positive statistical changes in the level indicators of the sense of happiness after participation in both, the experimental (W+ = 1316.50) and the control group (W+ = 1504.50). The results in the framework of the experimental group showed statistically significant difference, namely, positive changes in the indicators of the sense of gratitude, when comparing the first and the second measurement (W+ = 1901.00), however, it was not observed in the control group (W+ = 1370.00), that likely indicates that the method of the gratitude diary is more effective method to facilitate the sense of the gratitude if to compare to simple notes-making about the everyday events.
