The title of this work is connection between the internal locus of control and individuals political and religious views. The question i am trying to answer in this study is, as follows - Is there a statistically significant difference in the internal locus of control between religiously and politically oriented people? The aim of this study is to find out if there is a difference in influence on the internal locus of control, based on the chosen source of external control - religion (god) or politics (government). As this is a correlative study, there is no necessity to make distinct groups. The data was gathered by distributing a survey on the internet. To gather the data on the locus of control, the J.B.Rotter I-E scale, which has been adapted to latvian language, was used, as well as a few statements, with a decent reliabiliy, to gather the data for religiousity and political views. Upon reviewing the data, it has become clear, that there is a statistically significant connection betweet the locus of control and an individuals political an religious views.
