Abstract

Diplomdrbs tika izstrādāts ar mērķi izzināt un izmēģināt mācīšanas un mācīšanās metodes, kuras veicina pareizi pielietojama un atmiņā atsaucama vārdu krajuma apguvi. Veidot pedagoģiskās un metodiskās literatūras analīzi tika konstatēts, ka vārdu krājuma apgūšana ietver sevī daudz vairāk nekā vārdiņu iemācīšanos. Vārdu krājums smadzenēs tiek veidots ta saucamajā `mentālajā tīklā`. Tajā, pateicoties daudzpusīgai un atkārtotai nodarbei ar jaunajiem vārdiņiem, tiek veidoti jauni savienojumi. Lai apgūtie vārdiņi būtu pielietojami, nepieciešams tos apgūt kopā ar tipiskiem savienojumiem un jānorāda precīzi nozīmes aspekti. Pētniecības darba gaitā šie principi tika apstiprināti. Izsmeļoša jaunā vārda nozīmes prezentācija un daudzveidīgi uzdevumi, kuros soli pa solim tiek veidotas jaunas asociācijas un iespaidi, ir ļoti nozīmīgi jaunu vārdiņu apgūšanā. Tas ne tikai ievērojami palīdz paturēt tos atmiņā, bet arī vairo skolēnu motivāciju.

The aim of the Diploma Paper “Effective methods for enlarging the active vocabulary in German as a foreign language lessons” is to explore teaching and learning methods, which develop proper usage of the vocabulary and make it accessible. Literature analysis shows that vocabulary acquisition requires much more than just learning new words. It rather means building connections between words, meanings and associations in so called ‘mental lexicon’, which is being achieved through diverse work with new vocabulary. To make acquired vocabulary accessible, it is necessary to build words’ combinations of words and point out concrete aspects of meaning. During practice the importance of these principles was affirmed. Comprehensive perception of a new word and various exercises, that step by step form new associations and impressions, are very important for learning new words. It not only helps to keep new words in mind better, but also raises motivation of the students.
