Mārupītes sedimentu fitotoksiskums un smago metālu saturs tajos

Abstract

Maģistra darba nosaukums ir “Mārupītes sedimentu fitotoksiskums un smago metālu saturs tajos”. Maģistra darba mērķis ir novērtēt Mārupītes kā urbānas ūdensteces sedimentu fitotok-sicitāti un veikt sedimentu ķīmiskās kvalitātes novērtējumu pēc smago metālu koncentrācijām tajos, lai novērtētu pilsētas upes sindroma izpausmes Mārupītes ūdensteces ekosistēmā. Pirmajā daļā apskatīta ūdenstece kā ekosistēma, pilsētas upes sindroma izpausmes tajā un sedimentu raksturojums un nozīme ūdensteču ekosistēmās. Apskatīti pētījumi par smago me-tālu piesārņojumu pilsētu ūdensteču sedimentos pasaulē un pētījumi par smago metālu piesār-ņojumu un izplatību Latvijas iekšzemes ūdeņu (upju un ezeru) sedimentos. Sniegta informācija arī par fitotoksicitāti, sniegts parastās spirodelas Spirodela polyrhiza (L.) Schleid. sugas ap-raksts un apskatīts tās pielietojums fitotoksicitātes novērtēšanai. Otrajā daļā sniegts Mārupītes upes un tās sateces baseina raksturojums, norādītas sedimentu paraugu ievākšanas vietas, sedi-mentu paraugu ievākšanas, paraugu sagatavošanas, analizēšanas, ķīmiskās kvalitātes pēc smago metālu satura un vispārējās fitotoksicitātes novērtēšanas metodika, kā arī aprakstīti darbā iz-mantotie materiāli un metodes. Trešajā daļā apkopoti un analizēti dati par Mārupītes sedimentu raksturojumu, smago metālu sadalījumu tajos, veikta to ķīmiskās kvalitātes novērtēšana pēc smago metālu koncentrācijām un veikta sedimentu vispārējās fitotoksicitātes novērtēšana, kā arī izvērtēta ķīmiskās kvalitātes un fitotoksicitātes rādītāju savstarpējā saistība. Maģistra darbs sastāv no ievada, trīs galvenajām daļām un secinājumiem. Darbs izstrādāts uz 72 lapām, kas ietver 17 tabulas un 9 attēlus. Darba tapšanā izmantoti 151 avots. Maģistra darbam pievienots 1 pielikums.

The title of the Master’s Thesis is “River Mārupīte sediment phytotoxicity and heavy metal content”. The aim of the Master's Thesis study is to evaluate River Mārupīte as an urban water-course sediment phytotoxicity and carry sediment chemical assessment after the heavy metal concentrations therein to assess the urban stream syndrome manifestations in River Mārupīte watercourse ecosystem. The first part of the study deals with watercourse as an ecosystem, urban stream syndrome mani-festations and the sediment characteristics and significance of watercourse ecosystem. Examines researches on heavy metal pollution in sediments of urban watercourses in the world and researches on heavy metal pollution and distribution in sediments of Latvian inland waters (rivers and lakes). Provides information on phytotoxicity, gives description of greater duckweed Spirodela polyrhiza (L.) Schleid. and views its application of phytotoxicity evaluation. The second part of the study provides River Mārupīte and its catchment area characteristics, indi-cates sediment sampling sites, describes sampling, sample preparation, analyzing, chemical quality after the heavy metal content and general phytotoxicity assessment methodology, as well as describes the materials and methods used. In the third part of the study are analyzed data on River Mārupīte sediment characteristics, the heavy metal distribution in sediments, car-ried out sediment chemical quality assessment by heavy metal concentrations in it and general phytotoxicity evaluation, as well as evaluated interrelations between sediment characteristics, heavy metal concentrations and phytotoxicity indicators. The study consists of an introduction, three main sections and a conclusion. Study con-sists of 72 pages that include 17 tables and 9 pictures. In the writing 151 data sources were used. The Master’s Thesis study is accompanied by 1 annex.
