Bachelor thesis - Application of radiological examination for patients with osteoporosis in cases of femoral neck fracture. Topicality of the issue is determined by increasing number of the femoral neck fracture in elderly patients with diagnosed osteoporosis, thereby increasing the number of diagnostic radiology examinations among the population. This study aims to evaluate the use of radiological examination for patients with osteoporosis in cases of femoral neck fracture. The research objectives are to collect information about osteoporosis, compare types of femoral neck fracture, to collect information about normal and radiological anatomy of the hip joint and radiological examination methods, according to the theoretical part of research, to make conclusions and make recommendations. Hypothesis – X – ray examination of hip joint of standard and optional projections are the most common and primary radiological examination method in cases of femoral neck fracture for patients with diagnosed osteoporosis. Research instrument - Protocol with criteria in form of table. Study made by using theoretical literature and a retrospective analysis of qualitative research method. During the research the hypothesis has confirmed partly, because was used mostly standard projections. Femoral neck fracture more often occurs in female. The average age of the patients at the moment of the injury in male is 75,2, and in female 81,6. More often femoral neck fracture occurs in patients left extremity. Most common projection in x-ray study of a trauma is hip joint straight AP projection. Computed tomography examination is performed 5 times less often the x-ray examination.
