ASV ietekme uz Lielbritānijas kodolprogrammu

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt ietekmes īstenošanas veidus un formātus, kas parādās ASV projicētajā ietekmē uz Lielbritāniju kodoljautājumos kopš 1952. gada “Mutual Defence Agreement”. Darba teorētiskajā nodaļā, aplūkojot dažādu autoru piedāvāto ietekmes īstenošanas veidu iedalījumu, autore izveido ietekmes īstenošanas līdzekļu un formātu kategorizāciju, kas darba empīriskajā daļā pēc abu valstu kodolprogrammu raksturojuma tiek pielāgota identificētajai ASV ietekmei. Darba gaitā tiek secināts, ka ASV projicētā ietekme galvenokārt ir kooperatīva un tiek īstenota ar labumu sniegšanu. Kodolvalstu savstarpējo attiecību izpēte ir aktuāla un nozīmīga, jo kodoldraudu bīstamība laika gaitā ir tikai palielinājusies, veidojot jaunas draudu dimensijas.

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to identify different ways how US influence is projected on UK's nuclear programme since "Mutual Defence Agreement" of 1952. In the theoretical basis of the thesis the author has looked at different approaches of dividing influence and has created a categorization which is applied in the empirical part of the work, after characterising nuclear programmes of both countries. After exploring US projected influence the author has come to a conclusion that the US influence mostly is projected in a cooperative way, using providing benefits tactic. Research of relationships between nuclear states today is crucial as the threats that nuclear weapons provide today are even more dangerous than before, creating new dimensions of threats.
