Atšķirīga sabiedrības attieksme Latvijā: ārvalstu studentu pieredze ikdienas un studiju dzīvē

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Atšķirīga sabiedrības attieksme Latvijā: ārvalstu studentu pieredze ikdienas un studiju dzīvē” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādu sabiedrības attieksmi ikdienas un studiju dzīvē izjūt ārvalstu studenti Latvijā. Darba teorētiskā daļā izmantota teorija par attieksmes veidošanos un indivīda sociālās realitātes konstruēšanu sociālā konstruktīvisma perspektīvā. Pētījumā izmantotas tādas kvalitatīvās datu ieguves metodes kā ekspertintervijas un daļēji strukturētas intervijas. Ekspertintervijas veiktas ar izglītības nozares speciālistiem ārvalstu studentu jautājumos ar mērķi izpētīt situācijas raksturojumu Latvijas augstskolās. Lai izpētītu ārvalstu studentu pieredzi Latvijā attiecībā pret vērsto sabiedrības attieksmi studiju un ikdienas dzīvē, tiek veiktas daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar ārvalstu studentiem, kuri studē Latvijas augstskolās. Pētījumā iegūtie dati tiek analizēti, kodējot interviju transkriptus. Pētījuma rezultātos tiek secināts, ka ārvalstu studenti Latvijā izjūt gan negatīvu, gan pozitīvu atšķirīgu sabiedrības attieksmi, kā arī vērojama atšķirīgas attieksmes nepiemērošana.

The Bachelor thesis “Different society's attitude in Latvia: everyday and study life experience of foreign students” is aimed to identify what kind of society’s attitude foreign students experience in Latvia relating to everyday and study life. In the theoretical part the Author uses theory of attitudes formation and social construction of reality by individual within social constructivism perspective. In the research the Author uses qualitative data gathering methods such as semi-structured interviews and interviews with experts. To identify the situation in Higher education institutions of Latvia relating foreign students issues the Author uses interviews with experts from field of education. To explore foreign students’ experience in Latvia in relation to attitude of society towards them, the Author uses semi-structured interviews with foreign students. Collected data are analyzed by coding the transcripts of interviews. The results of research conclude that foreign students in Latvia experience both negative and possitive different attitude, also absence of different attitude is observed as well.
