Individuālisms – kolektīvisms un korupcijas indekss kā laimes līmeņa prognozētāji kultūras līmeņa analīzes gadījumā

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādā mērā individuālisms – kolektīvisms un korupcijas indekss prognozē laimes līmeni kultūras līmeņa analīzes gadījumā. Pētījums sastāvēja no 99 respondentiem – valstīm no visas pasaules, kurām ir pieejami jaunākie dati par korupcijas indeksu, individuālismu – kolektīvismu un laimes izjūtu. Pētījumā tika izmantoti sekundārie dati, kuri tika ievākti no interneta datubāzēm. Dati par individuālismu – kolektīvismu tika iegūti no Gērta Hofstedes (Geert Hofstede) mājas lapas; korupcijas indeksa dati tika iegūti no Transparency international datubāzēs (Corruption Perception Index); dati laimes izjūtas līmenim tika iegūti no World Database of Happiness datubāzes. Pētījuma rezultātā tika secināts, ka korupcijas indekss un individuālisms – kolektīvisms spēj prognozēt laimes līmeni un kopumā izskaidro 29% laimes līmeņa variācijas, bet spēcīgāks prognozētājs ir korupcijas indekss. Tika novērota arī korelācija starp abiem prognozētājiem, kas var norādīt uz savstarpēju ietekmi vienam uz otru.

The aim of the current study was to investigate the extent to witch individualism – collectivism and corruption index predicts happiness level of culture-level analysis of the case. The study consisted of 99 respondents which are countries from around the world, that have access of the latest data of corruption index, individualism – collectivism and happiness. In this study were used secondary data, which were collected from the internet databases. Data of individualism – collectivism were obtained from Geert Hofstede website; Corruption index data were obtained from Transparensy International databease (Corruption Persception Index); level of happiness data were obtained from World Database of Happiness. The results of this study indicated that the corruption index and individualism – collectivism are able to predict the level of happiness and overall explains 29% of variation in the level of happines, however, more powerful predictor ir corruption index. Also appeared correlation between the two predictors – corruption index and individualism – collectivism, which could mean that there could me a mutual influence on each other.
