Miers un drošība Eiropas Savienībā. Parīzes teroraktu atspoguļojums medijos.

Abstract

Drošība ir starp nozīmīgākajām ES jomām, kuru dalībvalstis turpina stiprināt. Starp lielākajiem draudiem ir terorisms. Mediji ir spēcīgs kanāls, kas veido priekšstatu par drošību dalībvalstīs un ietekmē sabiedrisko domu. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt miera un drošības tematikas atspoguļojumu ES medijos, saistībā ar Parīzes teroraktiem 2015. gada 13. un 14. novembrī. Darba uzdevumi: izpētīt ES drošības politiku un terorisma draudus Eiropā; veikt ES dalībvalstu mediju analīzi saistībā ar Parīzes teroraktu atspoguļošanu. Pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka teroraktu atspoguļošana un ar drošību saistītās tēmas apskats atšķiras starp medijiem un ES dalībvalstīm. Security is one of the most important areas in the EU, which Member States continue to strengthen. Terrorism is among the biggest security threats. Media is strong the channel, what creates understanding about security in Member States and affects public opinion. Main goal of the research is to explore the EU media coverage in peace and security, related to terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13 and 14 in 2015. Research tasks are: to explore the EU security policy and terror threats in Europe;  to do the EU Member States media analysis related to coverage on Paris attacks. Results of research indicates that media coverage on terrorist attacks and with security related topics differs between media and the EU Member States.
