Mobilie līdzekļi skolēnu vārdu krājuma paplašināšanai pamatskolas angļu valodas stundās

Abstract

Viedtālruņu pastāvīgā klātbūtne pamatskolas skolēnu dzīvē un mobilo mācību līdzekļu strauja attīstība ir pamats idejai par to apvienošanu, lai iepazīstinātu skolēnus ar jauniem motivējošiem vārdu krājuma apguves veidiem. Atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums tika veikts Teteles pamatskolā. Kā datu iegūšanas metodes tika izmantotas skolotāju aptaujas, intervijas ar angļu valodas skolotājiem, 57 skolēnu aptaujas (vecumā no 10 līdz 14 gadiem) pirms pētījuma, mobilo līdzekļu praktiskā izmantošana, un pamatskolas vecuma skolēnu aptaujas pēc pētījuma. Izmantojot pētījumā iegūtos datus, Diplomdarba autors sasniedza mērķi izstrādāt vadlīnijas skolotājiem, kuri vēlās izvairīties no jebkādām iespējamām grūtībām, iekļaujot mobilo mācību līdzekļu izmantošanu pamatskolas angļu valodas stundās skolēnu vārdu krājuma paplašināšanai.

The constant presence of smartphones in lower secondary school students’ life and the rapid advancement of mobile tools for learning inspired the author of the Diploma Paper to combine them in order to introduce students to new motivating ways of learning vocabulary. The case study was conducted in Tetele Elementary School. The methods of data collection were the following: questionnaires among teachers, interviews with English language teachers, pre-questionnaires among 57 students aged 10 to 14 before the case study, the practical use of mobile tools for expanding students’ vocabulary, and the lower secondary school students’ post-questionnaires after the case study. The findings of the study helped to achieve the aim in designing the guidelines for teachers in their attempts, wishing to avoid any challenges while implementing mobile tools into their lessons in order to support the students’ vocabulary development.
