Apmaiņas programmas skolēnu starpkultūru saskarsmes prasmju attīstībai vidusskolā

Abstract

Multikulturālisms mūsdienu sabiedrībā vairs nav reta parādība globalizācijas dēl, kas novērojama visā pasaulē. Tādējādi ir nepieciešams attīstīt starpkultūru saskarsmes prasmes skolēniem, tās sniegs iespēju dažādu kultūru indivīdiem efektīvi un bez aizspriedumiem sadarboties savā starpā. Maģistra darba mērķis bija noskaidrot, kā apmaiņas programmas veicina skolēnu starpkultūru saskarsmes prasmju attīstību. Darbā izmantotā pētniecības metode ir gadījuma pētījums, kas sniedza iespēju autorei apkopot skolēnu pildīto testu un aptauju datus, kā arī analizēt skolotāju intervijas. Pētījuma rezultāti apstiprina, ka apmaiņas programmas ir nozīmīgas un lietderīgas skolēnu mācību procesā, kā arī sniedz iespēju skolēniem gūt personīgo pieredzi, kas, savukārt, veicina skolēnu starpkultūru saskarsmes prasmju attīstību.

In today's modern society, multiculturalism is no longer a rare phenomenon due to globalisation, which is observed all over the world. Therefore, it is necessary to develop students’ intercultural communication skills that enable individuals of different cultures to be able to cooperate with each other effectively and without bias. The aim of the Master Thesis is to examine how exchange programmes facilitate the development of students’ intercultural communication skills. A case study is applied as a research method that enabled the author of the Master Thesis to collect data from the conducted tests and the students’ questionnaires, and to analyse teachers’ interviews. The results of the study confirm that exchange programmes are significant and useful in students’ learning process as well as provide the authentic personal experience that fosters the development of students' intercultural communication skills.
