In recent years, there has been a rapid and unpredictable fluctuation in the value of cryptocurrencies in the world, aggravated by a large influx of user demand. Unfortunately, there has been an increase in user amateur action, which has resulted in an increase in the level of illegal funding. In this research was performed an analysis of the current cryptocurrencies and its legal aspects. The aim of the work was to understand the nature and functioning of the cryptocurrencies, as well as to examine the regulatory situation abroad and the attitude of consumers about possible constraints. A detailed study was carried out of the nature and operation of the cryptocurrencies payment system. In the practical part were created a survey and an interview with the task of finding out the attitude of users and non-users towards virtual currencies. Introducing cryptocurrencies in comparison to traditional payment systems is more beneficial to the consumer and provides a significant number of benefits, however, they are currently unable to replace cash or bank transfer payments.
