Brexit ietekme uz Eiropas Savienības un Lielbritānijas ekonomiskajam attiecībām.

Abstract

Lielbritānijas izstāšanās no ES ietekmēs ne tikai abas iepriekšminētās puses, bet arī daudzu citu pasaules valstu ekonomiku, kā arī Eiropas Savienības vienotību nākotnē. Darba mērķis ir, balstoties uz zinātnisko literatūru un statistikas datiem, izpētīt potenciālo Brexit atstāto iespaidu uz ES un Lielbritānijas ekonomiskajām attiecībām un noteikt kādi ir iespējamie abu pušu nākotnes Tirdzniecības līgumi. Mērķa sasniegšanai izvirzītie uzdevumi ir izpētīt Eiropas Savienības un Lielbritānijas vēsturiskās saites, migrāciju un esošās tirdzniecības attiecības abu pušu starpā, kā arī novērtēt to potenciālās tirdzniecības attiecības. Darbā secināts, ka Brexit negatīvi ietekmēs gan ES, gan Lielbritānijas ekonomiku, taču Lielbritānijas ekonomiku tas skars ievērojami smagāk, ja tai neizdosies panākt sev izdevīgus Brīvās Tirdzniecības līgumus ar ES.

Britain's withdrawal from the EU will affect not only these two parties but also the economies of many other countries in the world, as well as the unity of the European Union in the future. The aim of the paper is to explore the potential impact of Brexit on the EU-UK economic relations based on scientific literature and statistics and identify the potential future trade agreements between them. The objectives set for achieving the goal are: to study the historical links, migration and trade relations between the European Union and the United Kingdom, as well as assess the possible future trade relationships. The author concludes that the UK’s withdrawal will have a negative impact on both the EU and UK economies, but it will be significantly worse for the UK economy if it fails to negotiate a Free Trade Agreement with the EU.
