"Bitcoin" kā alternatīvā valūta

Abstract

Mūsdienās virtuālās valūtas, it īpaši “Bitcoin”, kļūst par aizvien aktuālāko tematu, tāpēc autore izvēlējās to pētīt. Bakalaura darbā “”Bitcoin” kā alternatīvā valūta” tika pētīta virtuālā valūta: tās raksturojums, veidi, un virtuālās valūtas “Bitcoin” iespējas kļūt par alternatīvo valūtu. Darba mērķis ir izanalizēt “Bitcoin” valūtu, tās priekšrocības un trūkumus kā alternatīvas valūtas. Lai to sasniegtu, tika izvirzīti vairāki uzdevumi: •izpētīt dažādus informācijas avotus par virtuālo valūtu un konkrēti par “Bitcoin” valūtu; •raksturot virtuālās valūtas veidus; •izanalizēt tiesisko regulējumu virtuālo valūtu jomā; •izanalizēt “Bitcoin” norēķinu sistēmu; •izanalizēt pieejamos statistikas datus par virtuālajām valūtām; •salīdzināt priekšrocības un trūkumus “Bitcoin” valūtai un reālai valūtai; •novērtēt, vai virtuālā valūta, tostarp “Bitcoin” varētu aizstāt reālo naudu; •veikt aptauju par “Bitcoin” valūtu. Tātad darbā tika izpētīts reālās un virtuālās valūtas tirgus, to priekšrocības un trūkumi, tiesiskie aspekti un atsevišķi tika apskatīta “Bitcoin” valūta. Tika noskaidrots, vai cilvēkiem ir zināšanas par virtuālo valūtu, vai viņi ir to lietojuši un viņu prognozes attiecībā uz “Bitcoin” valūtu. “Bitcoin” popularitāte turpina pieaugt gan lietotāju, gan uzņēmumu vidū. Parādās jauni uzņēmumi, kur ir iespējams norēķināties ar “Bitcoin”, tomēr “Bitcoin” virtuālās valūtas regulējošie tiesību aspekti joprojām nav sakārtoti.

Nowadays virtual currencies, especially Bitcoin, have become a most common topic, so the author chose to research it. Bachelor thesis “Bitcoin as an alternative currency” examines the virtual currency, its characteristics, types and the virtual currency “Bitcoin” opportunity to become an alternative currency. The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to analyze “Bitcoin” currency, its advantages and disadvantages as alternative currency. To achieve this, several tasks were put forward: •explore various sources of information about the virtual currency and in particular the "Bitcoin" currency; •describe the types of virtual currency; •analyze the legal framework of virtual currencies; •analyze the “Bitcoin” billing system; •analyze available statistics on virtual currencies; •compare the advantages and disadvantages of the Bitcoin currency and real currency; •assess whether the virtual currency, including Bitcoin, could replace real money; •conduct a survey on the "Bitcoin" currency. In order to achieve this, real and virtual currency markets were explored, their strengths and weaknesses, legal aspects, and the “Bitcoin” currency were considered separately. Also in Bachelor thesis was discovered whether people have an interest in the virtual currency, whether they have used it or want to do this. Bitcoin's popularity continues to grow in both: users and businesses spheres. There are new companies where it is possible to pay with Bitcoin, however, Bitcoin virtual currency regulatory aspects of law are still not organized.
