Economic growth in the country is largely dependent on the number of employees and their productivity, therefore much attention is paid to the process of movement/migration of people and its resulting consequences. This work aims to assess the impact of labour migration on the growth rate of European Union GDP by econometric methods. The results show that the effect of the overall migration flow of previous five years on economic growth is negative, but overall long-term migration of foreigners show positive effect on GDP growth rate. Dividing foreign migrants into two groups, the amount of imigrants from EU countries has postive impact, but negative effect - from other foreign citizens. he results also show that the free movement of labour from the new EU member states positively affected the value of the GDP of the old member states.
