Vārtājas ledājkušanas ūdeņu drenāžas ieleja

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt Vārtājas ledajkušanas ūdeņu drenāžas ielejas ģeomorfoloģisko un ģeoloģisko uzbūvi un attīstību, noskaidrot, kādā deglaciācijas posmā ieleja ir izveidota, un klasificēt, kāda tipa ielejai pieder Vārtājas ieleja. Darba autors, izstrādājot bakalaura darbu, lauku pētījumu ietvaros izveidoja 4 atsegumus, kuros tika veikta fāciju aprakstīšana un trijos atsegumos tika veikti slāņu mērījumi. Iegūtie slāņu mērījumu dati ļāva interpretēt ledājkušanas ūdeņu straumju virzienus. Darba teorētiskajā sadaļā tiek apskatīta teritorijas ģeoloģiskā uzbūve, glacigēnā reljefa uzbūve, fluviālā un glaciofluviālā reljefa uzbūve, deglaciācijas vēsture un Baltijas ledus ezera attīstības stadijas.The aim of Bachelor’s thesis was to study geomorphological and geological structure and development of Vartajas glacial meltwater drainage valley. The author in the frame of Bachelor’s work created 4 outcrops for the field study, in which geological structures, were determined and three outcrop layer measurments where made. The obtained measurements of outcrop layers made it possible to interpret the directions of the glacial water currents. The theoretical part of the work, geological structure of the territory, the structure of the glacihen relief, the structure of the fluvial and glaciofluvial terrain, the history of deglaciation and Baltic ice lake development stages is described.
