Grūtnieces aizsardzība darba vietā pirms un pēc dzemdību perioda.

Abstract

Diskriminācija darba vietās ir viena no izplatītakajām problēmam Eiropā. Latvijas kā sociāli atbildīgas valsts mērķis ir censties atrisināt šo problēmu, izlīdzinot būtiskākās sociālās atšķirības sabiedrībā un katrai iedzīvotāju grupai nodrošinot atbilstošu dzīves standartu. Šī darba mērķis ir pētīt vai Darba likumā paredzētā grūtnieces aizsardzība pirms un pēc dzemdību periodā ir pietiekama un vai tā atbilst Eiropas Savienības tiesību normām un Eiropas Savienības Tiesas sniegtajai Eiropas Savienības tiesību normu interpretācijai. Šajā darbā tiks analizēti un vērtēti Darba likumā noteiktie grūtnieču aizsardzības veidi, kā arī tiks risināts jautājums par to, kā efektīvāk varētu nodrošināt grūtnieču aizsardzību darba vietā.

Discrimination at work is one of the most common problems in Europe. The goal of Latvia as a socially responsible state is to try to solve this problem by balancing the most important social differences in society and ensuring an adequate standard of living for each part of society. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate whether the protection provided by the Labor Law of the Republic of Latvia for pregnant workers before and after childbirth is sufficient and whether it complies with European Union law and with the interpretation of European Union law given by the European Court of Justice. Furthermore, there will be analyzed and evaluated the types of protection provided by the Labor Law to pregnant women, as well as the question of how to ensure the protection of pregnant women at the work place more efficiently.
