Despite the fact that in the Latvian Penalty Execution Code, the resocialisation of minors does not have its own different regulation, the resocialisation of juvenile offenders should be distinguished from the procedure for resocialisation of convicted adults. Juvenile offenders have some sort of benefits - they can be circumvented differently from adults, putting emphasis on the fact that the minor should not be punished for manifestations of antisocial behavior, but in the first place it is necessary to eliminate the causes of this behavior. It follows that the resocialisation of juvenile has its own specifics and not all elements of resocialisation are primarily applicable to these persons. The main problem is related to the process of juvenile resocialisation regulatory framework implementation in practice - in real life situations facing different issues. The purpose of the bachelor work is to carry out research on resocialisation and its tools, as well as to look more deeply into the process of re-socialization and it’s tools, which are used for juveniles in prisons aged 14 to 18 years and compare the implementation arrangements for resocialisation in Latvia with foreign regulations.
