Latviešu etniskā atgriešanās migrācija: motīvi un integrācija

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir “Latviešu etniskā atgriešanās migrācija: motīvi un integrācija”. Bakalaura darbā veiktā pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot diasporas trešās paaudzes latviešu motīvus lēmumam pārcelties uz dzīvi Latvijā un izpētīt integrācijas procesu pēc “atgriešanās”. Teorijas daļu veido nodaļas par: migrācijas teorijas, migrantu tīklu teorija, etniskā identitāte un diaspora, etniskā atgriešanās migrācija, jēdziena “motīvs” skaidrojums atgriešanās migrācijas kontekstā, kā arī akulturācijas un integrācijas teorijas. Darbā izmantotā datu ieguves metode bija daļēji strukturētās padziļinātās intervijas, analīzē tika izmantotas teoriju vadītās analīzes un datos pamatotās teorijas pieejas. Pētījuma galvenie secinājumi ir, ka motīvi, kas veicina diasporas trešās paaudzes latviešu pārcelšanos uz dzīvi Latvijā, ir vēlme gūt atšķirīgu un interesantu pieredzi, kā arī saprast, vai dzīve Latvijā ir viņiem piemērota. Integrācijas procesā respondenti secina, ka dzīve Latvijā atšķiras no sākotnēji izvirzītajām ekspektācijām.

Title of the bachelor’s thesis is "Latvians ethnic return migration: motives and integration". The aim of this research was to find out the motives of the diaspora third-generation Latvians for the decision to move to Latvia and explore the process after “returning”. The theoretical part deals with the theories of migration and migrant network theory, ethnic identity and diaspora, ethnic return migration, concept of “motive” in the context of return migration, as well as the theories of acculturation and integration. Empirical research was based on in-depth semi structured interviews, the data was analyzed with theory-based data analysis and grounded theory analysis. Key findings of the study are that the motives of the diaspora third-generation Latvians for the moving to Latvia are the desire to get a different and interesting experience, as well as to understand whether life in Latvia is suitable for them. In the process of integration respondents conclude that life in Latvia is different from the initially set expectations.
