Publiskās bibliotēkas un dzimtu pētniecība

Abstract

Publiskajām bibliotēkām ir vairāki darba virzieni, viens no tiem ir novadpētniecība. Viens no novadpētniecības virzieniem ir dzimtu pētniecība. Pētījuma galvenais mērķis bija noteikt bibliotēku dzimtu pētniecības darba modeli, lai tādejādi veicinātu šo novadpētniecības darba virziena attīstību Latvijas publiskajās bibliotēkās. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāds ir bibliotēku dzimtu pētniecības darbs un kā to varētu uzlabot. Tiek apskatīts arī cik liela nozīme dzimtu pētniecības darbā ir digitālajai videi. Pēc iegūtajiem pētījuma rezultātiem var secināt, ka bibliotēku dzimtu pētniecības darbs joprojām tiek pilnveidots, mācoties no pašu iegūtās, kā arī ārzemju bibliotēku pieredzes.

Public libraries have several fields that they work in, one of them is local studies. In local studies, genealogy is one of the research fields. The main purpose of this research paper is to determine and make the model of genealogy research model of libraries, thus encouraging the development of genealogy work that is done in public libraries. The aim of this research paper is to find out how genealogy work in libraries is done and how it could be improved. It also looks at how much digital environment influences genealogy work. The findings in this research paper shows that genealogy work in public libraries is still improving based on the experience that they have gathered from their own work and also from the experience that they have seen in the work of foreign libraries.
