Publisko bibliotēku novadpētniecības krājuma popularizēšana sadarbībā ar skolām

Abstract

Pētījums „Publisko bibliotēku novadpētniecības krājuma popularizēšana sadarbībā ar skolām” veikts ar mērķi apkopot Latvijas publisko bibliotēku labo prakšu piemērus novadpētniecības krājuma popularizēšanas darbā ar skolēniem, kā arī noskaidrot skolotāju un skolēnu redzējumu par sadarbības iespējām ar publisko bibliotēku. Pētījumā izmantota kvalitatīva pētījuma stratēģija, datu ieguvei izmantojot tādas pētniecības metodes kā dokumentu analīzi, daļēji strukturētās intervijas, ekspertintervijas, fokusgrupas intervijas, kā arī pedagoģisko izmēģinājumu. Pētījuma teorētisko bāzi veido pamatotā teorija, kas paredz, ka tiek izstrādāta datos balstīta pētījumam pielāgota teorija. Publisko bibliotēku novadpētniecības darba un krājuma popularizēšanas ar skolēniem teorija nosaka, ka tas ir radošs darbs, kura īstenošanā novadpētniecības bibliotekāram nepieciešamas zināšanas par skolēnu attīstības vajadzībām, prasme strādāt ar jaunākajām tehnoloģijām, kā arī pārzināt skolēnu vidū aktuālas tēmas. Iegūtie rezultāti atklāj, ka Latvijas publisko bibliotēku novadpētniecības popularizēšanas darba praksē tiek izmantotas daudzveidīgas metodes, kuras iespējams pielāgot katras bibliotēkas novadpētniecības krājuma specifikai.

The research „The promotion of public libraries local history collection in cooperation with schools” was conducted with the purpose to bring together the examples of good practices from the promotion of local history collections in cooperation with pupils in Latvian public libraries and to find out the opinion of teachers and pupils about possibilities for cooperation with the local public library. The qualitative research strategy was used for the research. The empirical data were collected through document analysis, semi-structured interviews, expert interviews, focus groups and pedagogical trial. The theoretical background of the research is based on grounded theory which involves the construction of theory through methodic gathering and analysis of data at the end of the research. The theory of the promotion of public libraries local history work and collection in cooperation with pupils states that this is a creative work which requires that a local history librarian need knowledge of pupils’ developmental needs, the ability to work with technologies, as well as to be familiar with hot topics among pupils. The results reveal that a wide range of methods are used to promote local history collections in Latvian public libraries which can be adapted to every library specific of local history collection.
