Grupas "Skyforger" ietekme uz nacionālās identitātes veidošanos subkultūrās

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Grupas “Skyforger” ietekme uz nacionālās identitātes veidošanos subkultūrās” mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai folkmetāla/pagānmetāla grupa ir spējīga veidot tās auditorijā nacionālās identitātes sajūtu un patriotismu. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīta šī mūzikas žanra vēsture, rašanās iemesli, tā pasniegtās vērtības un metālistu subkultūras vēsture un vērtības. Darba empīriskās daļas datu ievākšanai izmantota daļēji strukturēta intervija ar grupas līderi, fokusgrupas diskusija ar metālistu subkultūras pārstāvjiem un aptauja. Darba rezultātos secināts, ka grupas “Skyforger” mūzika tiešā veidā nerada patriotisma un nacionālās identitātes izjūtu tās auditorijā, bet liek lepoties un apzināt latviešu folkloru, vēsturi, un cilvēkus. The aim of bachelor paper “Skyforger influence of shaping national identity in subcultures” is to understand if folkmetal/pagan metal band is capable of shaping national identity sense and patriotism in their perspective subculture and audience. In bachelors paper theoretical part the history of this musical genre, reasons of the occurence, its values and the history and values of metalhead subculture. To collect data on the empirical part of the work, a semi-structured interview with the band leader was used, a focus group discussion with members of metalhead subculture, and a survey. The results of the research conclude that the music of “Skyforger” does not directly create a sense of patriotism and national identity in it’s audience, but boasts and recognizes Latvian folklore, history and historically important people.
