Socioseksuālās orientācijas saistība ar personības iezīmēm

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt pastāvošās saistības starp socioseksuālo orientāciju un personības iezīmēm, kā arī apskatīt dzimumatšķirības un noskaidrot saistību ar vecumu. Datu ievākšanai tika izmantotas divas aptaujas: Socioseksuālās orientācijas aptauja (SOI-R, Penke & Asendorpf, 2008), kas adaptēta latviešu valodā šī pētījuma ietvaros, un Latvijas Personības aptauja (Perepjolkina, 2014). Pētījumā piedalījās 61 cilvēks - 46 (75,4%) sievietes un 15 (24,6%) vīrieši. Respondenti ir seksuāli aktīvi pieaugušie, vecumā no 18 līdz 54 gadiem (M=26,4). Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja statistiski nozīmīgas saistības starp socioseksuālās orientācijas rādītājiem un labvēlīgumu, saticību, toleranci un atklātību. Tika atklātas pretējas saistības starp socioseksualitāti un zinātkāri. Uzrādījās pozitīva korelācija starp respondentu vecumu un socioseksuālajām vēlmēm. Netika atklātas saistības starp socioseksualitāti un ekstraversijas, neirotisma un apzinīguma raksturojošajām personības iezīmēm. Ierobežotā respondentu skaita dēļ, nebija iespējams izpētīt dzimumatšķirības socioseksualitātes saistībās ar personības iezīmēm. The goal of this study was to explore the relationships between sociosexual orientation and personality traits, as well as gender differences and connection with age. Two inventories were used to assess the data: Sociosexual orientation inventory (SOI-R, Penke & Asendorpf, 2008), which was translated and adapted in Latvian for the use of this study, and Latvian Personality trait inventory (Latvijas Personības aptauja, Perepjolkina, 2014). There were in total 61 participants in the study – 46 (75,4%) females and 15 (24,6%) males. They were all sexually active adults between the age of 18 to 54 (M=26,4). Results show significant relations between sociosexual orientation and agreeableness, sociability, tolerance and openness. There were reversed relation between sociosexuality and inquisitiveness. Positive correlations were also found between the age of participants and sociosexual desire. There were no significant connections between sociosexuality and extraversion, neuroticism and conscientiousness personality traits. The gender differences were not assessed because of the insufficient number of male participants. Key-words: sociosexual orientation, personality traits, gender
