To salīdzināšanu apgrūtina vienotu metriku un vadlīniju trūkums. Papildus tiek secināts, ka ne vienmēr datu ģenerēšanai nepieciešams sarežģīts tīkls, kas nāk ar papildu skaitļošanas slogu. In the scope of this bachelor’s work, the author reproduces and describes DCGAN generative network by taking its publication as the basis, and researches its differences from PGGAN generative network. Data sets of different difficulties are prepared for an objective comparison of the networks, and the networks are trained on these data sets, generating images belonging to them. A comparison of network performance and results is described and analyzed. An assessment of the quality of the networks is performed to prove the success of the network reproduction goal, and to determine which network outputs higher quality images. It is concluded that reproduction of networks based on their research alone is complicated and there are cases where the description of the networks and the author-produced implementation differ. Comparison of network performance is also impacted by a lack of unified standard metrics. It is also concluded that complex and resource heavy networks don’t always mean faster and better results.
