Pēdējo gadu laikā pasaulē strauji pieaug enterokoku rezistence pret dažādu grupu antimikrobajiem līdzekļiem un to izraisītas infekciju slimības, īpaši, nozokomiālas. Pētījuma mērķis bija noteikt no klīniskā materiāla izolēto enterokoku antibakteriālo jutību, kā arī noteikt vankomicīna rezistences gēnus. Enterococcus sp. celmu antimikrobiālā jutība tika noteikta izmantojot Kirby-Bauer disku difūzijas metodi, savukārt vankomicīna rezistences gēni enterokokos tika identificēti izmantojot Genotype Enterococcus testu. Rezumējot pētījuma datus visvairāk tika identificētas divas enterokoku sugas – E.faecalis (81 %) un E.faecium (19 %). E. faecium bija rezistentāks pret pētījumā izmantotajiem antimikrobajiem līdzekļiem kā E. faecalis. Izmantojot Genotype Enterococcus testu tika identificēti septiņi E.faecium celmi no desmit ņemtajiem paraugiem. Sešiem E.faecium celmiem tika noteikti vanB rezistences gēni. In recent years in the world, resistance of enterococci against the antimicrobial agents of different groups and the infectious diseases caused by it, especially nosocomial, has grown rapidly. The purpose of the work was to determine the antibacterial susceptibility of enterococci isolated from clinical material and to identify vancomycin resistance genes. The antimicrobial susceptibility of Enterococcus sp. strains was determined using the Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method, while the vancomycin resistance genes in enterococci were identified using the Genotype Enterococcus test. Summarising the research data E.faecalis (81 %) and E.faecium (19 %) were the most identified Enterococcus species. E.faecium was more resistant to the antimicrobial agents used in the study than E.faecalis. From ten taken samples E.faecium where identified in seven by using the Genotype Enterococcus test. The vanB resistance genes where determined in six of the E.faecium strains.
