Lietojot bezinterferona terapiju, pacienti izārstējās 85 - 87% gadījumos, tā apstiprinot bezinterferona terapijas augsto efektivitāti Due to its distribution and clinical course, viral hepatitis C has become a global problem. The benefits of new interferon-free therapies for treatment chronic hepatitis C are high clinical efficacy, ease of use and good tolerability. From 2016 new interferon-free therapy medicines from direct antiviral drugs class were added to the Positive list. For patients with a diagnosis of chronic viral hepatitis C the reimbursemet level of the therapeutic cost of medicines is 100 %. The aim of this study was to investigate the real world data of interferon- free therapy in the framework of the drug reimbursement system. In order to achieve the objective, data from the hepatitis C registry were analyzed for the period from January to September 2016. The present work is pilot study to investigate specific HCV treatment effectiveness in reimbursement system, so that the results could be compared with the clinical trials data, thus promoting the rational use of public funds. It was concluded that in 2016, four times as many patients received specific therapy than in 2015, which might be related to 100 % reimbursement level of medicines from 2016. 88 % (n = 642) of patients received treatment covered by the state reimbursement system. The patients who received the interferon free therapy cured in 85 – 87 % of cases, confirming the high efficacy of the interferon- free therapy.
