Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Imigrācija ASV 21. gadsimtā un prezidentu ietekme uz to”. Bakalaura darba mērķis – veikt imigrācijas izpēti ASV. Izpētīt imigrācijas, tās politikas vēsturi un prezidentu ietekmi uz to. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tika izvirzīti sekojoši daba uzdevumi – analizēt akadēmisko literatūru par imigrāciju, tās politiku un vēsturi. Izmantojot dažādas pētījuma metodes, ievākt empīriskos datus un analizēt migrācijas politiku. Apskatīt kāda ir Amerikas Savienoto Valstu prezidentu ietekme uz imigrāciju 21. gadsimtā. Darbā ir izstrādāti secinājumi par to, kādu ietekmi ASV prezidenti atstāj uz ASV imigrāciju. Darbs sastāv no vairākām nodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatīts, kā tiek pieņemti lēmumi politikā un kāds ir varas sadalījums starp prezidentu un citām iesaistītām pusēm pasaulē, un dziļāk tiks izpētīta tieši ASV valdība. Otrajā nodaļā tiek apskatīti imigrācijas aktualitātes pasaulē, ASV imigrācijas vēsture un mūsdienu situācija. Ceturtajā nodaļā īsumā tiek aprakstītas darbā izmantotās pētījuma metodes. Piektajā nodaļā tiek pētīta un salīdzināta ASV prezidentu ietekme uz Amerikas Savienoto Valstu imigrāciju. Bakalaura darba nobeigumā tiek izdarīti secinājumi. The topic of bachelor thesis is "US immigration in the 21st century and president’s influence on it” The main aim of the research paper is to explore immigration, immigration history in US and analyse US presidents influence on it. In order to achieve the set aim, there are defined the following tasks – to analyse academic literature on immigration, its policy and history. Using two research methods gather empirical data and analyse immigration in US. Look at what kind of impact presidents leave on immigration in 21. century. The paper developed conclusions on the impact the US President leaves on US immigration. Thesis consists of five chapters. In the first chapter it is reviewed how decisions are made in politics and what is the distribution of power between the president and other parties involved around the world, as well in US. In the second chapters there is viewed what is immigration trends around the world, US immigration history and the current situation. The third chapter briefly examines research methods used in this bachelor thesis. In the fourth chapter, there is analysed and compared US presidents influence on US immigration. At the end of bachelor thesis, conclusions are made. The total amount of pages is 53 and it consists from 106486 characters.
