The purpose of this bachelor thesis “Time scheduling as personal information management” was to find out if and how people plan their time. To find out what kind of factors have influence on managing their time, how to improve the quality of the time spent and how to organise it in order to promote their well-being. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on self-efficacy theory of social cognitive theory as well as on theory of personal information management and on the essence that organising things and events not only makes it easier to find something but it is also a good way how to save time and how to use this extra time for something useful. In order to get the necessary qualitative data for the research, the qualitative analysis and two methods - interviews and diary method - were chosen for this thesis. The research proves that respondents are not aware of the importance of planning their time. Time management is generally used for work necessities and planning the tasks that need to be done. Time is mainly planned in relation to monthly and weekly work-related tasks. Most of the respondents do not plan any time for themselves or for their hobbies, as well as for relaxing, resting.
